As you may have noticed Britax announced the new line of their car seats called Britax ClickTight after their 2014 model called G4 models, the new models come with some new features and the most important one is the ClickTight system. So let's have a detailed look for the differences between G4 and ClickTight models.

The Britax ClickTight convertible seats will have:
  • ClickTight installation system which makes the car seat very easy to be installed by anyone with only use of the vehicle seat belt.
  • Improved version of SafeCell side impact protection.
  • 12-position harness and 2-position buckle for quick adjustment of the harness.
  • 65 lbs. Maximum weight limit like Britax G4 models.
  • An automatic level indicator for the 7-position recline for finding the best installation angle.

As we understand from Britax presentations installing and achieving a tight installation a seat that features ClickTight is really easy with only three steps.

The available models with the ClickTight system are Marathon ClickTight, Boulevard ClickTight, and Advocate ClickTight convertible car seats.

We know that car seats primary job is keeping your child safe on the road, but with many styles and brands it is hard to choose one, and be sure it is the best for our many.

There are many car seats, and you know they look quite similar to each other! So how we will choose a good car seat that will both fit our car and make the little one happy and feel secure. I think the best way is comparing them side by side, and carefully consider the key factors.

So what are the key things to consider while comparing car seats?

Safety: As you probably hear hundreds of times all car seats in the U.S. meet minimum safety standards, but car seat are only safe when they are used correctly, installed correctly and fit correctly. So be sure that the car seat you will buy is easy to install and use.

Your baby's age: Always compare car seats in terms of their holding capacity. Think how long they will fit your child before you have to buy another. Will you start with an infant seat or with a 3 in 1 convertible type?

Additional features: When you're comparing baby seats, look at the additional features available, like cup holders, mirrors for rear facing car seats, washable fabric, degree of recline, removable base etc.

Price: This one is obvious. Try to get most for your buck.

Reviews: It is always a good idea to get some idea from friends or from online reviews, there are also many consumer websites and mom blogs that will give an idea about the car seat you’re about to purchase.
